Halloween in London: terrifying and quite fun
That's just what we did, folks. We walked around the streets and alleys of East London on a chilly October night - appropriately, it was Halloween - visiting all the places where the victims of the serial killer known as Jack the Ripper were found. It was incredibly spooky, and lots of fun, though it was a lot of walking. A LOT of walking.
Our fantastic guide, who was very assertive, well-spoken, and handsome, and dressed as a policeman from the late 1800's, led us around the Whitechapel area, telling us about the Ripper and his crimes, as well as many theories and controversies surrounding the murders. It was an informative, fun, and at times, bone-chilling tour (literally..it was pretty cold), and the perfect way to celebrate Halloween in London.
